Foundation Needs Doctors, Flights & Donations for Medical Relief Trip To Philippines

The Eric De La Cruz Hope For Hearts Foundation is asking for your support in providing help to the people of the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan. Millions have been affected by this natural disaster and relief is desperately needed by hundreds of thousands of displaced residents who lack food, drinking water, shelter and medical treatment.

(AP Photo/Bullit Marquez)To help address the monumental needs facing the country, Hope For Hearts is organizing a humanitarian mission to the Philippines to provide much-needed medical relief. We are partnering with Remote Area Medical (RAM) to send a team of doctors to the storm-affected areas to deliver medical treatment to those who need it most.  To successfully undertake this challenge, we are asking for your support in the form of donations and volunteer efforts. Currently, we are urgently seeking the following resources:

  • Doctors, nurses and medical professionals, especially surgeons and ob/gyn doctors
  • Donations to fund medication and supplies while on the ground
  • Working satellite phone(s) to enhance communication between relief teams
  • Air transportation (sponsored airfare, charter aircraft, access to flights)Remote Area Medical

If you can support Hope For Hearts’ efforts to help the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan, or can help refer us to any of the above forms of assistance, please get in touch NOW by emailing tashya@hopeforheartsfoundation.org. You can also donate to our relief efforts with a tax-deductible contribution that will be used to send medical supplies and aid to those most affected in the Philippines.
